 After a fitful and often grueling 19 months, the nation’s restaurants are slowly coming back. So are the pleasures of eating out. But where to start?

The Food desk dispatched critics, reporters and editors around the country to find the 50 most vibrant and delicious restaurants in 2021. They’re not ranked, but together they reflect the rich mosaic of American dining — from the melding of Thai curry and Texas brisket in the Pacific Northwest, to heritage crab rice on the South Carolina coast, to vegan soul food in the East Village. 

Some are classics, still great after decades. Others are in their prime, restaurants at their practiced peaks. And still others are newcomers, intrepidly making their way through the roughest stretch the restaurant business is likely to endure. All of them beckon us back to the table.

Because it’s new to South Florida, locals may have little understanding of Jollibee’s world influence, but the fast-food chain has operated 5,800 locations in 33 countries since the late 1970s, mostly in the Philippines. The first Jollibee began its life as an ice-cream stand in Manila in 1975 and started franchising in 1978, beating out Ronald McDonald, who didn’t step foot in the Philippines until 1981.

In today's vlog we head to Disney's Hollywood Studios for a fun day of trying new 50th anniversary treats and food! We started the day with the 50th celebration filet at the Hollywood Brown Derby. It was Walt's hash topped with a filet and an egg, just the way Walt liked it! Then we try more sweet treats that were featured in the Disney Parks Blog. Everything we tried was really good!
