Because it’s new to South Florida, locals may have little understanding of Jollibee’s world influence, but the fast-food chain has operated 5,800 locations in 33 countries since the late 1970s, mostly in the Philippines. The first Jollibee began its life as an ice-cream stand in Manila in 1975 and started franchising in 1978, beating out Ronald McDonald, who didn’t step foot in the Philippines until 1981.

In today's vlog we head to Disney's Hollywood Studios for a fun day of trying new 50th anniversary treats and food! We started the day with the 50th celebration filet at the Hollywood Brown Derby. It was Walt's hash topped with a filet and an egg, just the way Walt liked it! Then we try more sweet treats that were featured in the Disney Parks Blog. Everything we tried was really good!

The enticing aromas of a bakery that specializes in Cuban treats did more than make Michael Garcia’s mouth water. It was the moment he realized that major changes were happening in Broward, with so many Hispanic families moving north. “That confirms it,” Garcia remembers thinking in 2006 when Broward’s first Vicky Bakery opened in Cooper City.

(CNN) — Teachers are going to get a little extra lovin’ this week with free breakfast “Thank You” meals from McDonald’s as a token of appreciation. Any educator, including teachers, administrators, and school staff can go to McDonald’s from October 11 to October 15 to receive their breakfast meal, McDonald’s said in a news release Friday.
