PROFILE / The Best Local Gems to visit in Fort Lauderdale

Getting funky in Ft. Lauderdale! This charming city on Florida’s southeastern coast often gets overlooked when compared to its close neighbor and bigger South Florida hot spot, Miami, but I don’t think this fun, vibrant place gets enough credit!
Next up on The Hotel Boss’ tour of all the places you need to go ASAP, I hit up FTL for a look inside some of the best places to eat and drink—from a local brewery making PB&J-flavored beers to a taco truck inside of an Airstream. I also took a ride on one of their super convenient and scenic water taxis which is one of the best ways to get around (and see) this special city.
I couldn’t leave without a stop at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, so naturally, I did that too, and even got to explore their classic Coral Reefer suite. Watch for more about these amazing local businesses that are turning heads and filling bellies.
