I found an abundance of reasonably priced destinations in the central-south Palm Beach County geographic zone you laid out for me. My criteria were entrees under $20 at restaurants that are not part of big chains. I searched for locally owned eateries that get consistent approval on local foodie websites, with special attention to the international menus that you prefer (We’re in sync here: These are my favorite styles, too). THE BITE EATERY: POMPANO’S FIRST FOOD HALL OPENS

Located at 2715 E. Atlantic Boulevard in The Harbor Village Shops, the food hall features nine culinary concepts and one full-service bar, all under one roof. Participating restaurants include Deli Shack, Taco Vibez, Papa’s Pizzeria, Lobstar, Mama Mia, Beef Boyz, Ceviche Time, Abuelita’s Cuban Bistro and Moop Gelato. The Bite Bar, centrally located in the food hall, will serve drinks to all the establishments. “It has been a long time coming,” said Jessica Gollel of Gollel Family Properties, the owner and developer of The Bite Eatery. “We are very excited to open.”

The Breakfast Nook and Checkers Old Munchen: How one restaurant’s journey came full circle

Pompano Beach – Checkers Old Munchen’s newly-expanded dining room is decorated with shelves of hand-painted beer steins and golden das boot plaques lined up over the bar, showing off the milestones of local beer aficionados.
