NEW / Hallandale Beach's Atlantic Village is a Foodie Dining Destination

A growing mixed-use development in Hallandale Beach is attracting foodies with the addition of several popular new restaurants, including a second location for Drunken Dragon, El Primo Red Tacos, and Temakase. In the coming months, Atlantic Village — located at 601, 701, and 801 N. Federal Hwy. — is set to bring a wide variety of restaurants to its lineup of service-oriented retail, restaurants, and entertainment, as well as office space and medical tenants.

NEW RESTAURANT / Dune By Laurent Tourondel Will Open In Fort Lauderdale In The Fall Of 2021 @ Auberge

Last month, Chef Laurent Tourondel announced he would soon be partnering with one of Fort Lauderdale’s most iconic oceanfront restaurants. Tourondel plans to convert the property’s existing Dune restaurant into Dune by Laurent Tourondel. 
Touted as a unique, upscale dining experience, the restaurant promises that the chef’s signature international influences will be at the center of the renovation. “We have had our eye on Fort Lauderdale for a while and are delighted to have acquired not only one of the most coveted beachfront restaurants in South Florida but the country,” said Yoram Shemesh, the Tourondel, and Steven. FYI / For Restaurant Owners, Employee Retention is Key During the Pandemic

 For the past year, the world has been in the grip of a global pandemic that has wreaked havoc on nearly every aspect of life.

The hospitality industry has been hit as hard as any, with forced dining-room and bar closures at the height of COVID-19. Many restaurant workers lost their jobs, and a large number haven't returned.

A report released by SnagaJob, a website dedicated to helping hourly wage employees find work, and Black Box Intelligence, found that only 17 percent of restaurant workers consider it a career choice. A whopping 87 percent of respondents said they'd prefer a livable hourly wage to the prevailing structure of tip-based earnings. Read more>>>
